One of the latest emerging application of Blind Fastening is Flush Riveting or CSK Riveting or Countersunk Riveting.
Installation procedure
  • Drill/punch a hole with CSK of given dimentions
  • Iinsert a Blind Rivet to join 2 or more sheets
  • Set the rivet with a handy manual or pneumatic tool
  • You will observe perfect flush surface on one side
Counter sunk riveting

  1. Excellent choice for flush application.
  2. One piece fastener.
  3. Provides clamping effect….not just holding [as in CSK screw].
  4. Strong - load bearing joint.
  5. These rivets have a counter of 120°.
  6. Available in Steel & Stainless Steel for load bearing and corrosion resistance.

Case study

Fixing of Hinges to Panels

This commonly observed that the hinges are mounted to panels or main frame in Steel & Stainless Steel assemblies by means of welding or CSK-Self-Tapping Screws. the disadvantages of using screws are.
  1. Self tapping screws provide holding power not clamping
  2. You might have to increase the sheet thickness of the parent component just to facilitate proper holding also you might have to add a block on the back side.
  3. It is observed that a nut is welded on to the panel and CSK screws are used from the front side to fasten the hinges, which is bound to loosen up and is vulnerable to wear & tear.
  4. Welding looks very shabby, and also the process is cumbersome.
All these cumbersome procedures can be eliminated by using just one fastener, the CSK Blind Rivet, whose insertion and joining time is 1.5 seconds flat.
